The Gypsy Rover

Whilst in the "Idle Fellows" we used to sing "The Gypsy Rover" quite a lot. This song is known all over the English-speaking world and I can remember hearing it sung by an American on radio as a small child in the late 1940's.
My penny whistle came into its own for the whistling bit and we all joined in the "Ah di du ...." chorus whilst Brian or Wilfried would sing the verses. As a solo player I hardly ever play it these days.
