William Brown

This is another amusing song I learned from Brian Kelly and have found absolutely no record of it anywhere. It's the story of one William Brown who is threatened with the sack if he doesn't work harder. Well, our Bill works so hard and produces so much that his boss can't sell it. "The market falls and the price goes down, in seven more days they sack young Brown", as the song goes. If there is a moral to this song, then it beats me!
Since writing the above, not so long ago, I have just (at 23.54 on Friday 22nd of January 1999) come across a certain Stan Kelly of Liverpool on the Internet. The plot thickens! Could Stan and Brian be related? Stay tuned, dear surfer, don't fail to miss the next exciting instalment.
